day 3.

without going into too much detail.
i have spent the last month preparing
to
go
here.
this is the Mecklenburg County courthouse.
yes.
me.
without cheapening this experience for myself
what i really want anyone who reads this to know is
that
whatever
"IT"
is
HE
can
handle
it.
i see myself as a rule follower.
not knowing at all how this was going to go absolutely
could have torn me apart.
but
instead i asked my God, my shepherd, my Father,
my protector, my friend, to take this burden from me.
to do HIS will.
to give me the words.
the courage.
the strength.
and the peace
to
handle
whatever
the
outcome.
i stand here amazed at what HE can do.
what HE does every day for you and me.
i purposefully did not share this with many people.
i knew this was not going to be something i could fight with a lot of words.
and excuses.
from
the moment
IT
happened
i knew
a
humble
prayerful
attitude
was going to get me where i needed to be.
as i prayed about this day over the last month i was very aware of what God was trying to share with me. have faith. believe in me. don't worry. enjoy your day. lay it at my feet. and the number 2.
2?
today i spent $2 for parking at the Mecklenburg County parking lot after i waited for 5 minutes in a courtroom of atleast 500 where a judge dismissed my case after hearing my humble explanation of events that lead her to understand that i would never knowingly pass a stopped school bus but was merely trying to avoid an accident.
praise
God!

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
Psalm 55:22

to my sweet girls still in florida....i love you. have a great day!

happy tuesday.

edited: right after i posted this blog entry. a yellow box popped onto my screen. [i don't ever get pop-ups on my computer]. the box said,
"is there a God?". i clicked on IT.

it is an article written by a former atheist.
until now.
my prayer is that this answers any doubts any of you may have.
it is yet another way that God has moved through my day.
and i thank Him so much for that.

day 1.

jack: where are da geerls?
me: they're in florida for a few days.
jack: no day not.

it sure is quieter around here.
even with a little boy who has taken to
roaring like a lion
and
growling like a bear.
today we went to the library
and the pool.
jack
absolutely loved
the duck slide
and the whale slide.
over
and
over
and over.

[as we were leaving]
jack: mama, that was fun. mama, thank you for taking me to da pool mama.
me: [thinking to myself ...are you really 3?]

[to da geerls]
so thankful that you made it safely
and that
you
are
having
fun
with gamma
and the hayes.
we miss you.
and that shooshal [macs]
misses you.
we love you.

happy monday.

what do i do now?

this is by far my most favorite picture in a very long time.
it is a true representation of the love my children have for one another.

these 2 girls left a few minutes ago.
these 2 girls are embarking on an adventure today.
they are headed to FL with Gamma Leann and Pop Pop.
they are headed your ways Hayes!
Megan thrilled at the excitement of all of it.
Lauren excited but unsure at the same time.
my prayer Dear God is
for them to have a wonderful trip.
that they stay safe.
that they will be mindful of others and respectful.
that they know just how much we are missing them.
and that God will take me back to that place when i only had one
and
tell
me
what
am
i
supposed
to
do
now?

i will be blogging every day this week.
a little note to each of my girls.

i love you girls.

happy sunday.

in the sweet things jack says file:
[megan went into jack's room to get him this morning. she gets in the bed with him.]
jack: i don't have tigger, but i have you.

my little muffin man.

the mac is back.
missed it.
but did just fine.
brushed up on my windows skills.
last week my house was filled with lots of little people.
the many pairs of shoes that reflect this.
such a blessing.
but
i
will
let
Megan
tell you all about that.
as much as i want to gush and share i have to wait patiently for Megan to share her accomplishment.

in the meantime, i can share just how much i love that we have a little muffin man in our house.
reading Grandma Lena's Big Ol' Turnip by Denia Hester the little muffin man noticed at the end she makes reference to corn muffins. this began his desire to make muffins. the opportunity presented itself the next day when we got some wonderfully big zucchini's from our friends. zucchini muffins. he wanted to be a part of the whole entire process. measuring. pouring. stirring. blending. and of course tasting. i love that he wanted to be in the kitchen with me. i love that jeff picked up the camera noticing a moment [thank you sweetie]. i love that the muffins turned out yummy. i love that my sweet little muffin man didn't even know that he was getting a science. math. and home economics class all in one. i simply love that!

have a blessed day.

pastimes.

honestly didn't realize how much i use my mac for everything.
including my blog.
i upload all my pictures to that computer.
i am now windows illiterate and end up having to relearn everything when i use this computer.
i gave my mac over to the genius bar about 5 days ago.
the disk drive won't give me back my disks.
once they go in they simply don't want to come back out.
they really really like it in there.
so
i am on my backup.
thankful for backup.
instead of posting latest shots i will post flashback shots.
so fun to revisit pictures from the last few years and see just how much our surroundings have changed. how we have changed. it's a constant reminder to me that time marches on.....

have a blessed week.

and this girl.

i have watched this little girl become a young lady.
she is so giving.
so kind.
going through her pre-teens is giving her a little bit of a run for her money (and mine).
but i simply can't imagine being without her on a daily basis.
she is such a big help.
a big heart.
she loves to share what she learns with her brother and sister.
she loves to help me in the kitchen.
mini-chef she is.
i love you sweetheart.
p.s. someday she will have a farm with lots and lots of animals.
you can count on it.

happy tuesday.
